Meringue & Pi
Meringue is an old French sheep, grouchy as the Grinch yet fluffy as a cloud.
Pi is an introverted, sentimental soybean who just entered his puberty.
<1. Pi meets Meringue>
Pi was really struggling.
He had just moved to this new village, and he was already struggling with his new school and classmates. He'd just started middle school, and his classes were even harder than any class he had ever taken. Not only that, he even dreamed of making new friends and being the cool new kid, but in reality, nobody wanted to be his friend.
Heartbroken, Pi ran up the hill behind his school right after the last bell rang.
"I feel like a hamster in an endless wheel...But I'm afraid, what if I do become one?"
He let out a sigh. "Will that dream ever become reality?"
"Wake up, you silly, dreams are meant to be wakened up from."
Right behind him, an old sheep appeared out of nowhere and muttered to himself. Surprised by his sudden appearance, Pi looked up and saw the bloody red sunset right in front of him.
After a moment of appreciation, the sheep sat down next to Pi and...pulled off his wool like he's taking off his coat! Pi was shocked, but the sheep yelled at his face, angrily.
"What!"
Pi, though surprised, collected himself and told the sheep about his dreams of wanting to have friends and be the smart, cool kid at school.
"Don't get swallowed by the Forest of Dreamers," the sheep warned.
Pi was surprised but curious. Nobody had ever taken his dreams so seriously.
"Can we be friends?" asked Pi.
The sheep was irked, thinking the little boy was making fun of him. That is, until he started smelling his favorite bread, baguette!
"Mmmmm! Baguette!"
"Ew, what are you doing, you sheep!" exclaimed Pi.
"Isn't this shoe a baguette, I love baguettes! And listen, young boy, I have a wonderful name, Meringue!" Meringue barked back.
"My-my name is Pi!"
"Okay, Pi, let's be friends! You give me that baguette, and I'll be your friend."
"Okay!"
And with that, Meringue and Pi ran down the hill, looking forward to their newfound friendship.
